The Future of Space Commerce Workshop - August 24, 2007 - Beaver Run Resort at Breckenridge, CO
The Future of Space Commerce Workshop brings together participants from the Civil, Military, Commercial, and New Space sectors, and relevant academic, consulting, business, and financial organizations to discuss and explore how risks associated with space commerce development can be reduced, and to examine synergies to strengthen and advance partnerships between the sectors.
Focusing on reducing risks and fostering partnerships: synergies between Civil, Military, Commercial, and New Space, the workshop will be hosted by the US Air Force Academy’s Center for Space and Defense Studies in cooperation with NASA Ames Research Center and Futron Corporation. Participation will be by invitation. Facilitators will be selected for each session of the worskhop and the goal is an open discussion among the participants.
The end product will be a report that condenses workshop proceedings into a series of issues where there is agreement, disagreement, and where further research or discussion is needed. This report is to be provided to participants, key government agencies and congressional leaders.
